Tools and materials:
- Scrunchies
- Hair elastics
- Curling wand
- Spray bottle
- Bobby pins
Hairstyle 1: Low messy double bun
Splitting hair into two sections
Split your hair down the middle so you have two parts
Curling sections of hair
Curl random, pieces near the root. Take one-inch sections near the top of the hair and curl outward, holding the curl in your hand after to help keep its shape.
Don’t worry about curling the bottom half as you won’t be able to see it.
Tying hair into two low ponytails
Tie your hair into two low ponytails, leaving a few face-framing strands loose. Make sure to keep your curls intact while doing this.
To make it look messier, pull on some of the strands around the hair tie. Your curls should still be visible.
Curling the face-framing sections
Curl the strands in the front outwards, keeping them loose
Braiding the pigtails
Braid both ponytails.Tug at the braids to loosen them, so they appear bigger. Secure with hair elastics
Wrapping the braids into low buns
Wrap the braid around itself to form a bun.Tuck the end of the braid into the elastic. This will conceal the ends and help the bun stay in place. Adjust as needed and pin down with bobby pins.
Repeat on both sides and you’re finished.
Easy braided hairstyles
Here's the finished hairstyle. This is really cute looks so polished.
Hairstyle 2: Dutch braid
Doing a Dutch braid on hair
Do a dutch braid to the nape of your neck.
Brush your hair back and take a small section of hair near your forehead. Split into three equal parts.
Next, bring the middle piece over the right piece. Bring the new middle piece over the left piece. Bring in a new section of hair for the left and right strands. Braid until you reach the nape of your neck.
Tugging at the braid to loosen it
Tug at the braid to loosen it up then cover the original elastic with a scrunchie. Continue braiding halfway down your hair. Secure with another elastic and scrunchie.
Repeat until you reach the end.I love the different colored scrunchies with this hairstyle.
Hairstyle 3: Fishtail braids
Spraying hair with water
Part your hair down the middle into two sections. Before braiding, I recommend wetting your hair to help reduce flyaways.
How to do a fishtail braid
Now, we’re going to do a fishtail braid.
To do this, grab a section of hair and split it into two. Take a piece from the top section and cross it underneath, adding it to the bottom section. Repeat with the bottom section.
Start from the top section again, but this time start adding hair from the outer edge to the bottom section, then cross it underneath to the top. Do this again, but this time grab hair from the bottom.
Braiding hair in a fishtail braid
Braid all the way down to the nape of your neck.
Tying the ends of the fishtail braids
Once you reach the nape, continue braiding by taking sections from one side and crossing them under to add to the other. Do this all the way down and secure with a hair tie.
Repeat on both sides and you’re done.
Cute fishtail pigtails
These pigtail braids are cute, but the fishtail style also looks quite sophisticated.
Hairstyle 4: Double Dutch braid pigtails
Spraying water onto hair to wet it
Part your hair into two sections and use a spray bottle again to wet your hair.
Sectioning off the face-framing pieces
Section off face-framing pieces.
Doing a Dutch braid
Do a dutch braid to the nape of your neck
To do a dutch braid, take the middle strand and cross it over an outer strand. With the new middle strand, cross it over the other outer strand.
Now, add in hair from both sides to the two outer strands and continue braiding down to the nape. Secure with a hair tie and repeat to the other side.
Curling the bottom of the braids
Make loose curls with the front framing pieces by curling away from the face. For the ponytail, take one-inch sections and curl them outward.
To help the curls keep their shape, hold them in your hand right after you take the wand out.
